Keto Golumpki (guh-WOOM-key)

A beautiful Polish dish involving cabbage with meat and topped with a spicy marinara sauce. Traditionally, this is made into a roll, but I prefer to make it into a casserole because it is easier and tastes just as good. Also, it definitely is not traditional to be spicy.
Ingredients
- Spicy Marinara Sauce
- 2 large heads of cabbage (green)
- 2.5 lb ground turkey (or beef or pork if you prefer)
Instructions
- Make the Spicy Marinara Sauce.
- Preheat the oven to 350F.
- Remove the core from the cabbage heads and place them in a large pot of boiling water for about 5-10 minutes, or until the leaves are tender and pliable.
- Cut the cabbage into 1/2" by 1/2" cubes.
- In a large, deep baking dish, mix 1/2" balls of ground turkey with the chopped cabbage.
- Pour the spicy marinara sauce over the meat and cabbage mixture, ensuring everything is well coated.
- Bake for about 1 hour, or until the meat is cooked through and the cabbage is tender.
- Let it cool for a few minutes before serving.
